This…..is a big one. A 350th birthday – Wow. Amesbury was incorporated (we did the research for you) on May 27th in 1668! Everyone is invited to join in on this historic day! Thanks to generous sponsors and local fundraising efforts – this family-friendly event is free to all!
The official opening ceremonies start at 11am. at City Hall. Invited guests and dignitaries include the Lord Mayors of our sister city, Amesbury, England!
Then, beginning at 12 noon, free trolleys will transport visitors to 10 different stops to see 17 historic treasure sites in all! First-time visitors will discover Amesbury’s significance in history, and locals will have access to treasures they may not have seen yet! From the Hat Museum to a Salem Witch trial reading – you’ll love what’s in store for you!
As is always the case in Amesbury, there’s plenty of spots to stop off for refreshments, snacks, shopping, and unique culinary delights!
