Explore the Night Sky with Lake Gardner Improvement Association

Come Star Gazing with the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club and the Lake Gardner Association at Battis Farm in Amesbury! With telescopes provided by the club they'll observe impressive celestial objects such as the Orion Nebula 1300 light years away, the Beehive, Hyades, and Pleiades star clusters, M35 in Gemini, as well as galaxies and multi-star systems.  The event will be held on Tuesday, March 20 from 7:30-9pm. Join the Amesbury Public Library for a hands-on cooking class, and prepare a four-course meal with local farm chef Carolyn Grieco at Kitchen Local on Cedar Street.  Chef Grieco has researched and developed a traditional menu from cookbooks in the library's local history collection, and will guide us through preparation of historically inspired recipes while instructing us in classic cooking technique. History on Tap – Making Beer Along the Powow

Mass Memories Road Show

The Mass. Memories Road Show is a statewide digital history project that documents people, places and events in Massachusetts history through family photographs and stories. In partnership with teams of local volunteers, we organize public events to scan family and community photographs and videotape “the stories behind the photos.” The images and videos are indexed and incorporated into an online educational database at openarchives.umb.edu.
